Our travels changed us immensely and we knew we wouldn’t be able to come home and not help any of the amazing people, animals and charities we met on our journey.
Since coming home the girls and I have been thinking about ways in which we can help. They came up with the idea of making and selling t-shirts which is how Wild Forever was born.
The girls chose their favourite six animals and we researched together to find some charities that mean a lot to us.
I illustrated the designs and found an ethical factory to print them for us.
Our t-shirts are made from certified organic cotton, all of the workers are paid a fair living wage and the waste products are recycled so there is no pollution during the processing. The clothing is printed to order using low-impact inks in a wind-powered factory. The clothing is then shipped to you in a paper mailing bag with stickers made from recycled waste. This fits with our sustainability ethos.
As well as the six children’s designs we have also designed a women’s collection including a hoody.
10% of the sales will go to the charities that the girls have chosen. We understand that this is just a drop in the ocean considering what these charities need, but we feel better knowing we are using our privilege to help in a small way.
